I had a difficult time with this particular theme, for some reason I drew a blank initially, but then I remembered this little gem:

  1. So much material out there for remakes. But you know what… You’ve made a right decision. When this the Fugees came out with this joint I was all over it.

  2. What are the odds? LOL! I posted this one too along with tons of others though. Although it’s probably blasphemy to say so, I prefer Lauryn’s version over Roberta Flack’s.

  3. I drew a blank too, but then I remembered the song I posted: “You Send Me” sang by Aretha instead of Sam Cooke.
The Fugees did an excellent job with this remake and introduced a lot of young’uns to Roberta Flack. Happy OSF!

  4. I’ve been hitting spots this morning to see what you guys chose and I must say I am sooooo excited! Since I’m at work I have to pull out my headphones before I can listen. ;)

Although Roberta Flack reigns supreme, I have to say it too…I enjoyed L-Boogie’s version better. :)

HAPPY O.S.F.!!! Have a great weekend!!!

  5. I know someone posted Al B. for this remake but Lauryn killed it. :o )

  6. I love this version…I knew it would be popular so I pulled out the Al B. Sure version…

  7. What’s up AJ!
Nice choice! I saw this someplace else today! It is popular! I am not really a fan of either version. But I love Lauryn Hill so I guess she wins this one by default!
    have a great weekend!

  8. One of my favorite songs ever! Nice choice

  9. Great choices! I did Every Little Bit Hurts…hope you get a chance to check it out. SjP

  10. Marvalus had the Al B Sure version, this is the only song that can be made over and over again, and I like every version just as much as the original.

  11. Good choice. I must say that I like the Fugees (Lauryn Hill) version better.

  12. this was nice choice, i must add you to my next weeks list

    ure site is really nice

  13. THIS IS MY SONG.

  14. I still love Roberta’s version still! Lauren did a good job, but you can’t beat the classic.

  15. Hey AJ! What’s up?
    Just checking in on you.
    Have an awesome weekend!

  16. I like!

I did Stanley Clark with George Duke and the Isley Brothers directly on my spot. Put a link to Luther Vandross doing Its All Over not only for the bass – but as a piece of advise for the Queen…HRC. Hope you get a chance to stop by.
