I’ve noticed several folks stating that children deserve privacy. Each time I hear those statements, the hair on the back of my neck stands up. You see I am of the opinion that children need guidance and direction and that is the job of the parent – in order to provide that guidance, you need to know what is going on. I told my kids years ago that they should have “No expecation of privacy while living under our roof”. I went thru EVERYTHING and there were no locks on the doors. I even had spyware on the computer at one point.
There was a kid (white boy – around 13) around the corner from us that built a gun and accidentally shot his self in the arm (he put the firing pin in backwards). I was thinking, how did his parents not know what his little behind was building…I know that project took some time, patience and money. When I saw his little behind walking down the street with a cast on after his “accident” I wanted to ask him who he was planning to shoot with that homemade gun….little terr-a-ists (as pResident Bush would say).
Everytime I hear someone say kids need privacy I think of the little boy around the corner……..
